63 Bulldogs On NFL Rosters To Start 2026 Season

ATHENS, Ga. – A total of 63 former Bulldogs made NFL rosters as organizations finalized their initial 53-man rosters and practice squads for the upcoming 2026 season as of Wednesday, Sept. 2.
 
Former Bulldogs will look to extend Georgia’s remarkable run of Super Bowl representation, as at least one Georgia alumnus has appeared in each of the last 25 Super Bowls. The streak stands as the longest active stretch in college football and is just one year away from matching Nebraska’s record of 26 consecutive Super Bowls from 1994-2019. 
 
Jared Wilson carried Georgia’s presence into Super Bowl LX last season with the New England Patriots. He is slated to be the lone Bulldog in action when the NFL season kicks off Sept. 9, as New England faces the Seattle Seahawks in a Super Bowl rematch. Incidentally, the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks are led by Mike Macdonald, a Georgia graduate who served under Bulldog head coach Mark Richt as a student assistant, graduate assistant and defensive quality control coach while earning a master’s degree. Also, free agent running back Kenny McIntosh was a member of last year’s Super Bowl champions too.
 
Aside from on-the-field success, Georgia continues to set the standard in NFL talent production, with 70 players drafted since 2020, which leads all of college football in that span. Most recently, Georgia had eight players selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, which was fourth amongst all college football programs, tied with Indiana and Penn State.

-NFL Teams can elevate a practice squad player for a game up to three times during the regular season. After the third time, they’d have to be signed to the 53-man roster to play in a game.
