A Florida man was arrested over the weekend after allegedly kidnapping a woman he was dating, according to an arrest affidavit.

Irvin Murr, 21, was arrested by Seminole County deputies on multiple charges, including kidnapping, aggravated assault, and battery by strangulation.

The incident happened after 1 a.m. on Sunday following dinner at a restaurant near the University of Central Florida (UCF) and a trip to downtown Sanford for drinks, the victim told deputies.

According to an arrest affidavit, the victim’s friend contacted the UCF Police Department after receiving a call from the victim during what appeared to be an argument. When she didn’t hear a response from the victim, the friend stayed on the line while UCF officers pinged the victim’s phone.

On the active call line, the UCF officer overheard the suspect, later identified as Murr, hitting and threatening the victim. The victim was also heard pleading with Murr, saying, “Stop pointing the gun to my head,” as she screamed and cried for help, authorities said.

Murr could also be heard “threatening death” and alluded to potentially dumping her body somewhere in Ocala, the report stated.

The UCF police officer contacted the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office to report the kidnapping, as it occurred within their jurisdiction, and provided a location in Sanford.

At some point during the call, the victim was heard saying that she and Murr were at a Circle K gas station. Seminole County deputies located the pair at the gas station located on W State Road 46.

The victim had visible scratch marks and a red bruise on her throat, consistent with strangulation, deputies said.

Law enforcement also discovered a fully loaded AR-style rifle inside the vehicle.
