Vanderbilt volleyball opens the home portion of its 2025 schedule Friday with Match 1 presented by Vanderbilt Health vs. Belmont. First serve is set for 7 p.m. and is broadcast on SEC Network.

THE LAST TIME OUT
- Vanderbilt dropped a five-set match to 14th-ranked Kansas at the AVCA First Serve Showcase in Lincoln, Nebraska
- The Commodores jumped out to an early lead, winning the first set, 25-19
- It was Vandy’s first set win since 1980
- Reese Animashaun posted a double-double in her collegiate debut, recording 18 kills and 11 digs
- Jackie Moore registered a career-high 17 kills and hit .323
- Hailee Mack led the Dores defensively, producing 28 of the team’s 59 digs
THE MATCHUP AHEAD
- This is the first recorded meeting between Vanderbilt and Belmont
- The Bruins finished 11-19 overall and 6-12 in Missouri Valley Conference play in 2024
- Fritz Rosenberg, who was hired in January will make his head coaching debut against the Commodores Friday
- Both Vanderbilt head coach Anders Nelson and Rosenberg served as associate head coaches at SEC programs before coming to Nashville
- Rosenberg spent three seasons as the associate head coach at Mississippi State; Nelson was the associate head coach at Kentucky for seven seasons
MATCH 1 INFORMATION
- Match 1 presented by Vanderbilt Health will take place outside on Wyatt Lawn
- The event is not ticketed
- Bleacher seating is limited but standing room is also available
- Parking will be in Lots 77 and 81
- A variety of food trucks will offer concessions
- Following the match, country music artist and Vanderbilt alumna Julia Cole will perform a concert on the lawn
