STANFORD, Calif. – Led by Erika Sayer and Jordyn Harvey, No. 4 Stanford defeated UCLA, 25-18, 21-25, 25-8, 25-16, Sunday, in Maples Pavilion.

Stanford (9-2) hit .310 as a team, totaling 53 kills, nine aces, 46 digs and 9.0 blocks. UCLA (6-4) was held to .113 hitting, its second-lowest output of the season.

After dropping the second set, Stanford stormed back in the third, holding the Bruins to just eight points – the lowest by a Cardinal opponent this season. Stanford recorded 14 kills on 22 swings with just one error to hit .591 in the frame.

Setter Logan Parks controlled the offense with 38 assists and had three kills, six digs and two blocks. Libero Spencer Etzler racked up a match-high 11 digs to go with four assists and two aces.

Outside hitter Elia Rubin finished with nine kills, six digs, three blocks, three assists and two aces, while Julia Blyashov chipped in with eight kills. Middle blocker Lizzy Andrew totaled eight kills and four blocks.

Senior defensive specialist Anna Pringle tied her career-high with eight digs and tallied an ace and two assists. Koko Kirsch added two digs and an assist, while Ipar Kurt had two kills and a digs coming off the bench in the third.

UCLA was led by outside hitter Cheridyn Leverette who tallied 10 kills and four digs. Eliana Urzua and PK Kong each had nine kills for the Bruins. Stanford has won five straight over the Bruins, eading the all-time series 58-39.

Up next, Stanford begins ACC play on the road at Virginia on Saturday and Virginia Tech on Sunday.
