Another former member of Sean Payton’s coaching staff has landed on his feet.
The Baltimore Ravens are hiring former Denver Broncos wide receivers coach Keary Colbert as their new WRs coach, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Colbert previously held that role in Denver from 2023-2025.
Colbert is the third ex-Broncos coach that Baltimore has hired this offseason, joining ex-Denver offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi — who joined the Ravens as a senior offensive assistant — and Zack Grossi. Overall, six coaches have left the Broncos this offseason.
Broncos coach departures
- OC Joe Lombardi (fired; joined Ravens)
- WRs coach Keary Colbert (fired; joined Ravens)
- CBs coach Addison Lynch (fired; joined Giants)
- Senior assistant Pete Carmichael (joined Bills)
- DBs coach Jim Leonhard (joined Bills)
- Passing game specialist Zack Grossi (joined Ravens)
Last year, Payton announced a finalized 2025 coaching staff in March, so fans can likely expect a similar timeline for Denver’s 2026 coaching changes to be finalized.
