Dragon Ball Game Project “AGE 1000” is presented at Genkidamatsuri as part of the series’ 40th anniversary

In mid-January, it was announced that an event to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ball would be held on January 25. Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri already has its first big announcement from Bandai Namco, who have presented a new title for the Dragon Ball franchise, which for now is called DRAGON BALL Game Project “AGE 1000.”

A two-minute trailer introduces us to a new character, designed by the legendary Akira Toriyama. The character does not yet have a name, but stands out in the trailer for his uniform, which bears the Capsule Corp. logo, as well as a badge with the initials GS. In addition to announcing this new project, the trailer shows us this character’s combat skills, as well as his ability to become a Super Saiyan.

For now, details are minimal, with the title having a release date set for sometime in 2027. More information about this game will be announced during Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour, which will be held in Los Angeles, California, on April 18 and 19 this year.

For now, social media users suggest that Age 1000 could refer to the year in which the events of Dragon Ball Online take place, an MMORPG for PC that was active between 2009 and 2013. Despite its closure, this title gave rise to Dragon Ball Xenoverse. The game’s story took place 216 years after the Buu saga. Could there be a connection between these titles? We’ll have to wait a few months for more information.
