HONOLULU — Fans will have a prime opportunity to get their first glimpse of the new-look 2025-26 University of Hawai’i men’s and women’s basketball teams. The Rainbow Warriors and Rainbow Wahine will host a combined four exhibition games in the month of October at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center with all four contests free of charge to the public. 
 
The Rainbow Warriors face Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 7:00 p.m. and Chaminade on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 5:00 p.m.

As previously announced, the Rainbow Wahine will take on Chaminade on Tuesday, Oct. 21 and Hawai’i Pacific on Tuesday, Oct. 28. Both of those games are scheduled to tip off at 7:00 p.m.

 

The men’s basketball team has been injected with a talented and veteran group of nine newcomers, highlighted by high-flying guard Dre Bullock, 4-star transfer Tanner Cuff, and junior college national player of the year Isaac Finlinson. They help bolster a roster that includes key returnees Gytis Nemeikša, Harry Rouhliadeff and Aaron Hunkin-Claytor.

The men’s exhibition games precede their Nov. 4 season opener on the road at Oregon. UH will then return to Honolulu to face East Texas A&M on Sunday, Nov. 9 in the first of 11 straight home games spanning November and December. 

The defending Big West champion Rainbow Wahine are headlined by the return of a pair of all-conference players in Imani Perez and Ritorya Tamilo. Eight newcomers join a diverse squad that sports 11 international players, nine of which hail from Australia and New Zealand, as the ‘Bows look to cap their final season in the Big West with another conference title. 

    

The Rainbow Wahine open the regular season on Nov. 4 against Portland State at Bankoh Arena. The ‘Bows play their first seven regular-season games at home which is highlighted by a pair of tournaments in the Bank of Hawai’i Classic and the American Savings Bank Rainbow Wahine Showdown.

The Rainbow Wahine will also hold their annual ice cream social prior to the Oct. 28 exhibition against HPU as a thank you to season-ticket holders. The social is set for 6 p.m. in the Ed Wong Room. Click here for more information and to RSVP.
