ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The University of Michigan wrestling team, in conjunction with the official release of the Big Ten Conference dual-meet slate, announced its 2025-26 schedule on Monday (Sept. 29), featuring 12 duals and three regular-season tournaments. Start times and television selections will be announced at a later date.

The Wolverines will kick off the season at the annual Michigan State Open on Saturday, Nov. 8, before hosting VMI at 2 p.m. the following day (Sunday, Nov. 9) for their season dual-meet opener.

Michigan will participate in the inaugural National Duals Invitational, slated for Nov. 15-16 at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla. The 16-team field was determined based on teams’ finish in the final 2025 NCAA Division I standings; 11 of the top-12 teams accepted their automatic invitation, while all participating teams placed 22nd or higher. All teams are guaranteed at least two dual matches, with prize money going to the top eight teams.

The Wolverines will also travel to Columbia (Nov. 21) and host Virginia (Nov. 23) in first-semester competition.

Michigan will host four Big Ten duals at Crisler Center this season: Michigan State (Jan. 9), Illinois (Jan. 18), Northwestern (Jan. 30) and Penn State (Feb. 6). U-M’s road Big Ten duals include Rutgers (Jan. 16), Ohio State (Feb. 1), Iowa (Feb. 13) and Wisconsin (Feb. 15). The Wolverines will wrap up their dual slate at Central Michigan on Feb. 22.

Penn State will host the 2026 Big Ten Championships, March 7-8, in State College, Pa., before the 2025-26 season wraps with the NCAA Championships two weeks later (March 19-21) at the Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

Michigan will feature a lineup of experienced veterans and young talent in 2025-26 — the eighth season under head coach Sean Bormet. Michigan returns five starters from last season’s lineup as well as All-American Dylan Ragusin, who missed most of the year with injury, and brought in three graduate transfers in Taye Ghadiali, Lachlan McNeil and Diego Sotelo and a talented six-member freshman class.

Ticket Information

New season tickets for the 2025-26 season are on sale through the Michigan Ticket Office. Season tickets are $50 per seat and include benefits like price discounts, priority points and Chalk Talk invitations with Coach Bormet.

For current season ticket holders, renewals are due on Oct. 17, while group and single-meet tickets will also go on sale on Oct. 20. For more information, visit the U-M Ticket Office website.
