Govs. Andy Beshear, Gretchen Whitmer speak to Michigan Democrats in Detroit

Detroit — Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear urged Michigan Democrats to “talk like a normal human being” during this year’s high-stakes midterm election, while Gov. Gretchen Whitmer was honored by the party faithful during a dinner Saturday night ahead of a contentious state convention.

Whitmer took a victory tour among her fellow Democrats Saturday at the Michigan Democratic Party’s Legacy Dinner honoring her nearly eight years in office, and urged party members to organize ahead of the high-stakes midterm election in November.
