Use critical thinking on /u/maxwellhill claims

Reading last nights thread that went to the frontpage on /u/maxwellhill, a worldnews mod, returning, i felt like id taken crazy pills.

People were all talking like it was a proven fact believed by the FBI and proven by the Epstein files that /u/maxwellhill was Ghislaine Maxwell.

People were dropping links like this as evidence: https://xcancel.com/BrianRoemmele/status/2019109130028601509 which makes casual claims about FBI doing IP matching, writing style analysis etc and concluding the same.

Initially i thought i must have missed something. Was i crazy? The only epstein files materials on that reddit account i had ever seen were simply records of anonymous tips made to the FBI by random redditors AFTER this "theory" went viral in 2020.

Ive now spent another couple of hours looking and it seems i was right and that is really all there is. Thats essentially nothing, just some very minor coincidences. Its certainly not proof of anything and its seems bizarre to me to believe Ghislaine was posting to reddit hundreds of times a day in a position of power and this isnt referenced ANYWHERE in the correspondence between jeffrey and others. This would be a many hours a day job ffs. And we are supposed to believe she did it using a username that includes her own surname, and wasnt sophisticated enough to hand it off to a subordinate when she was jailed? Come on.

Guys its critical we all apply critical thinking to claims and dont just breathlessly repeat them as fact or its incredibly easy to dismiss this whole movement.
