Health and Human Service Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is pushing for medical schools to create nutrition education programs. Nutritionist Maya Feller told ABC News Live that doctors are “undertrained” in nutrition, but noted that doctors already refer patients to nutrition professionals. “There are nutrition professionals that have over 1,000 hours of clinical practice and over 1,000 hours of nutrition education. And we are actually primed to take care of chronic disease in this country.”
