Maxwell Prosecutor Can Fast Track Wrongful Termination Suit

Maureen Comey, lead US Attorney on both the cancelled Epstein and successful Maxwell sex trafficking trials, was summarily fired by President Trump. No cause given, just the assertion of the Presidential powers under article 2 of the Constitution.

Ordinarily, a fired employee suing for wrongful discharge must first go through a long process in front of a civil service board before getting into court. That board, the Merit Systems Review Board, has been effectively crippled by Trump's actions, removing the Democratic chairperson, causing a loss of quorum, and leaving a Republican majority on the traditionally independent board.

But, because Trump fired Maureen Comey under Article 2 powers, a Federal judge has said she does not need to go through the MSRB, and can file her wrongful termination suit directly.

Comey might know more about the *prosecutable* crimes surrounding Epstein than any other person alive. She successfully prosecuted Ghislaine Maxwell. I believe this is why Trump fired her; she knows.

She is also the daughter of Trump target of malicious prosecution former FBI Director James Comey.

Brian Tyler Cohen and former Assistant US Attorney Glenn Kirschner discuss it here:
